Training in Córdoba: ankle and foot injections

In March 2026 we attended the training session “A tour of ankle and foot injections”, organised by the Professional College of Podiatrists of Andalusia at the Parador de Córdoba. It was a day of updates with fellow podiatrists: clinical demonstrations, live ultrasound and shared criteria on when and how to consider an injection in the foot or ankle.

What it brings to the clinic

Injections are not a shortcut or a standalone treatment. At Podología Priego we consider them when the diagnosis justifies it — selected tendinopathies, bursitis, neuroma, stubborn plantar fasciitis or joint pain — always inside a plan that includes examination, footwear, offloading and follow-up. Seeing current protocols and practising with colleagues sharpens the indication and reduces guesswork.

The session, led by podiatrist Serafín Palomero, focused on anatomical pathways and clinical caution: choosing the right patient matters as much as the technique. That is the standard we bring back to the clinic in Priego de Córdoba.
